Life happens in unexpected ways. Whether adjusting to a sudden life change or a known life transition, you may be feeling emotionally overwhelmed and exhausted. The time period of transitioning to adulthood is stressful enough and dealing with anxiety, hopeless feelings, or just uncertainty on how to move forward can make it unbearable. Many adolescents and young adults have found help by reaching out and working with a therapist. There is an opportunity to learn and grow from your experience. Maya Angelou says, “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”
Life can be hard, but therapy doesn’t have to be. I embrace modern technology and offer affordable secure online therapy. I have many years of counseling experience providing individual and group therapy. My approach combines elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, expressive arts therapy, and positive psychology.
Making the choice to get help is a courageous step. I am here to provide a safe space, listen, and help guide you through the process of becoming stronger, braver, and more satisfied with life.

Hi! In a world where so many of us regularly get the message that we are flawed, I think it is important to start by saying something that we might not hear so regularly, which is, that it is okay to be you. But if I’m being honest, being yourself is not always an easy thing to do. As a therapist, I place priority in creating a therapy environment where clients feel safe to share the most authentic versions of themselves without fear of judgement. In addition to a safe therapeutic space, my goal is to assist clients on their paths towards self-expression and self-acceptance no matter where they are in their journey.
My areas of focus include psychological assessment, counseling therapy with pediatric, adolescent and adult clients, and African American psychology for clients with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, blended families, and military or veteran related stressors.
My “non-judgemental”, “conversational” and “real” approach to therapy assists me in sharing acceptance and authenticity with my clients, as well as incorporating these traits into my clients lives. Thank you for reading this brief introduction! Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in exploring a client-therapist or assessment relationship.
