I have gained much knowledge in providing the tools and skills in guiding couples, teens, and individuals to work through the struggles they face day to day and from their past.
Counseling should be a confidential and safe place for you to share those struggles and sort through all types of transitions from painful, everyday battles to life altering events. It takes courage to go through counseling and face what you are going through, and I am here to walk alongside you and to help provide the tools to do so.
Life comes with challenges. Sometimes we need support. As a Licenced Professional Therapist, my goal is to walk alongside you in order to navigate through life’s challenges.
I work with clients going through a wide range of emotional and relationship difficulties including grief, loss, trauma, anxiety, relationship problems, marital difficulty, divorce recovery, infidelity, life transitions, and the pain of growing up in a difficult parent/child relationship. I have many years working with at-risk youth and families
If you are struggling with any challenge…trauma, divorce, depressions, family conflict, mental and mood disorders and other challenges we can work through it
You don’t have to do it on your own! Whether you are trying to cope with your present or learning to heal from painful events of the past, it’s ok to need help. Sometimes the road between where you, or your child, are and where you would like to be can get overwhelming and feel like too much. My goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to travel that road and reach your goals.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing trauma, depression, and struggling with daily life events and transitions. With children, I specialize in helping them, and their parents learn how to recognize and cope with their emotions, communicate their needs, and improve their ability to solve problems.
Healing is possible, change is possible. Allow me to help you or your child discover what your road to wellness looks like.

You might be feeling more sad, angry, worried, or lonely than usual. Juggling work, family and school might have you doubting yourself, struggling to connect and feel loved in relationships, or feeling dissatisfied with your career. If you are Black, Indigenous, a person of color, queer, trans, gender expansive, or live with a disability, you may be tired of being strong. You may notice certain spaces where you don’t feel comfortable being your full self. In therapy you can feel understood, valued, and empowered to heal and grow. In therapy you can explore and celebrate your culture, your wisdom, your strengths, and your identities.
I provide individual counseling, play therapy, and child-parent relationship therapy. My next group for women of color begins Tuesday, April 20th. We are committed to providing comprehensive treatment to clients in a manner that considers, not only the troubling behavior or concern, but rather, explores the pathway that clients traveled long before they arrived at their present destination. You may have experienced negative behaviors or responses and felt as though you lacked control over what occurred. You may have approached each day with good intentions only to find yourself repeating a pattern of behavior, without understanding why you can’t seem to get it right. Each day, you wake up seeking a new reality and positive outcomes, but the cycle continues. Call us today!
We offer a trauma informed approach to treatment, looking beyond flashing emotions and adverse behaviors. We specialize in treating those who suffer from depression, anger, anxiety and more. Our specialties are working with adolescents/young adults with adverse behaviors and managing anger, as well as families who are struggling to adjust, or get along.
You’ve been trying to figure out why you do the things you do, or why you keep seeing the same outcomes time and time again. You blame yourself for everything and have reached a point to where you’ve accepted life as it is and can’t see a way out. We are here to restore hope, explore truths, and work with you to create change. Be encouraged!
Hi! In a world where so many of us regularly get the message that we are flawed, I think it is important to start by saying something that we might not hear so regularly, which is, that it is okay to be you. But if I’m being honest, being yourself is not always an easy thing to do. As a therapist, I place priority in creating a therapy environment where clients feel safe to share the most authentic versions of themselves without fear of judgement. In addition to a safe therapeutic space, my goal is to assist clients on their paths towards self-expression and self-acceptance no matter where they are in their journey.
My areas of focus include psychological assessment, counseling therapy with pediatric, adolescent and adult clients, and African American psychology for clients with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, blended families, and military or veteran related stressors.
My “non-judgemental”, “conversational” and “real” approach to therapy assists me in sharing acceptance and authenticity with my clients, as well as incorporating these traits into my clients lives. Thank you for reading this brief introduction! Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in exploring a client-therapist or assessment relationship.
