About

My services focus on reducing the symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD that come from experiencing life’s traumas and transitions. It is common in those who have experienced life traumas to constantly live in “survival mode”. If you find yourself feeling emotionally and mentally unsafe while simultaneously trying to make decisions that keep you safe, then you know the hypervigilance, the self-criticism, the fear, the persistent negative thoughts-the realities-that accompany this life. Survivor mode, although once necessary to endure traumatic experiences, only paints the world in less vibrant colors.
Survivor mode holds us hostage to a limited range of experiences and feelings in order to remain safe. My hope for you is that in our time together we not only explore, and unpack the past but that we also move into painting the world with whatever colors you desire.
Using Cognitive Processing Therapy I will help you assimilate traumatic events into your life, reduce emotional distress, identify mal-adaptive ways of thinking , build healthy coping skills, embrace your strengths, and develop practices that put your life back into your hands.
