About

Hello. My name is Lawanda Williams and I am an LCSW-C based in Baltimore City. I have a deep commitment to the city and the strength that resides within its people. I have been a practitioner for over 10 years, working with elders, children and adults seeking recovery from substance use and mental health issues. I specializing in serving individuals experiencing homelessness and people managing chronic health conditions. My clinical work is grounded in the core belief that there are no lost causes. I also provide clinical supervision to other social workers looking to develop their therapy skills and promote racial justice.
I have expertise working with people who are survivors of trauma. I enjoy working with clients who are dealing with relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, work stress, and hoarding disorder, utilizing a strengths-based, solution-focused approach. I provide home-based services and am a believer in meeting people where they are in the truest sense.
I believe that trauma is at the seat of most human suffering and, thus, I use that lens in all aspects of my clinical work. Attending to one’s emotional wellbeing is the kindest gift you can give to yourself, and the best investment you could ever make. Please reach out if you are ready to invest in YOU and take your healing to the next level.
