About

My ideal client is someone who may have been hesitant about starting therapy, but has decided to take a chance. I want to remove the negative stigma attached to therapy and support my clients on their journey to growth and healing. I am passionate about helping clients find ways to process their emotions and learns ways to handle everyday stress. I tend to gravitate towards clients dealing with past trauma, depression, anxiety and grief. I want people to feel empowered and realize their current struggles don’t define them. I want to bring out the best in my clients and encourage them to not be afraid of their feelings.
I work with children, adolescents and adults. I specialize in trauma, grief, depression and anxiety. I have experience in addiction and incorporating faith and spirituality into counseling as appropriate. I take a person centered approach, which is client focused. The client owns their therapy sessions and I am there to provide support and guidance.
My passion for helping people is what drew me to the counseling profession. I like to make my client feel comfortable and not judged. I work on building rapport at initial contact. I want to promote an atmosphere of trust and support. I love to see my clients grow and heal, as well as having a little fun.
