Through a structured interview and client engagement, Romel goes beyond the obvious, the presenting issue, to identify the root problem. Based on the outcome of the interview and clinical expertise, he proposes an individualized plan with goals that specifically target the problems with specific objectives and timelines for meeting those objectives. His extensive clinical background, training, and expertise have equipped him with skills critical to building and maintaining an effective and empathic relationship throughout the therapeutic process. Romel has over ten years working with substance abuse and minority concerns and stress.
Romel sees teenagers, adults and couples. He works in areas of depression, anxiety, grief, stress, anger management, trauma/PTSD, relationships, parenting, divorce, blended families and domestic violence for both the victim and the perpetrator. He works with LGBTQ issues both individual and couples, sexual health, sexual identity and BDSM.
Life can be overwhelming at times and it can feel like your drowning. It’s in these times we find out how resilient and strong we truly are. Therapy is about highlight those key factors and helping us to see the strength we all have.
